Archive George Minne

The letters from the period shortly before the First World War that Minne received from family, befriended artists, collectors, politicians and art critics provide a glimpse into the artist's world. The starting date of this packet coincides with his arrival at Sint-Martens-Latem. This core archive remained in the hands of his family after his death in 1941. By the efforts of his daughter Marie Gevaert-Minne, the Archive for Contemporary Art in Belgium is able to make a copy of it. In this way, an important archival piece of George Minne is available for research.
