Museum of Deinze and the Leie Region
The library of the Museum of Deinze and the Leie Region is the most comprehensive and specialised one in Flanders with regards to Deinze and the Leie Region. For the most part, it consists of monographs and art publications, however, publications related to the history of the region or in connection with the folk art department also make up a portion of its holdings. The division of the library is based upon two main pillars: monographs classified alphabetically by artist name and art historical reference materials classified via the SISO system. In addition, the library also manages various art historical and historical periodicals.
From the plastic arts collection, a documentation centre is maintained that on the one hand consists of dossiers with various information about the artists themselves and on the other hand photo material of their works.
Finally, the museum maintains an extensive archive that primarily deals with the history of the city of Deinze and consists of different materials such as books and periodicals, letters, iconographical material, official documents, a collection of antiquarian books, annual publications of the Circle for the History and Art of Deinze and the Leie Region and so forth.
